FINANCIAL LITERACY AND FINANCIAL INCLUSION
Policy Forum on Financial Literacy and Financial Inclusion is being organised by the National Centre for Financial Education (NCFE) a Centre of Excellence at the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM). The center is supported by all the financial sector regulators. The objective of the policy forum is to highlight the rigorous empirical research taking place in the field of financial literacy and Inclusion. The forum will also provide India's experience with financial Inclusion programs and the underlying policy reforms that are driving them.
In its initial year the Forum features an exciting mix of paper presentations and a policy round table. It will commence with keynote address by Ms. Flore-Anne Messy, OECD followed by two high quality research paper presentations by Prof. Dennis Philip and Prof. Anurag Banerjee of Durham University Business School (DUBS) UK and a presentation by Prof. Samir Barua and Prof. Sobhesh Agarwalla of IIM Ahmedabadinviting comments and views of the Forum participants. The Policy Roundtable will be represented by senior officials of the financial sector regulators and multilateral institutions.
The Forum will bring together various policy makers and stakeholders and aspire to bring out a high status white paper based on the research outputs produced by the DUBS and IIM-A, researchers for future policy intervention.
